Jack Morgan is the head of Private, the world’s largest investigation agency. When a wealthy businessman approaches him with a desperate plea to find his daughter and grandchildren who have all disappeared without a trace, Jack is coerced into accepting the assignment by his co-worker and lover, Justine.

The initial task to find Elizabeth and her two children, Maria and Danny, soon escalates into something deadly, when the family is being pursued by highly trained operatives.

Jack and his team soon find themselves having to race against the clock to track down the missing family. At the same time, they discover there’s more to the story than their client has told them.

Meanwhile, after his earlier assignment in Russia, Jack has tried to take a step back from the more hands-on side of the job. But when he learns that a US Special Forces pilot, identified as Joshua Floyd, has been shot down during a covert mission in Afghanistan, Jack finds himself stepping back into the line of fire.

Facing his own traumatic memories of when he himself was a US Marine, Jack must now face off against the highly trained Russian operatives that will stop at nothing to locate Joshua and even use his family as leverage to get what they want.

The search for Joshua and his family is fraught with danger, so is a trip to the Afghan mountain ranges. Split between action in upstate New York and the inhospitable mountain ranges on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, the book offers non-stop suspense and action throughout.

The writing is tight, the plot full of intrigue and pulse pounding moments. The chapters are short, pacy, each one leaving readers with a kind of cliffhanger. And it really helps that the authors have created characters that the readers will find appealing. Edgy and emotionally driven, Private Rogue is laced with a generous dose of corruption and espionage that will keep readers glued till the end.
